Before Your Microneedling Session:
Avoid Accutane in the six months prior to beginning your treatment sessions.
Do not use topical agents that may increase the sensitivity of your skin such as retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics, or acids 5-7 days prior to your treatment.
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for at least 3 days prior to your micro needling session. These will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for your skin rejuvenation.
Avoid IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure, or sunburn for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
No waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5-7 days prior.
Do not shave on the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation. If there’s dense hair present in the treatment area, shave the day before you arrive for your appointment.
If you’re prone to cold sores, take an antiviral agent for 2 days prior to and the day of the treatment.
Avoid blood thinning agents for one week prior because bruising is a common side effect of micro needling.
After Your Microneedling Session:
Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications for one week after the procedure.
Do not use ice on your face, and avoid using arnica/bromelain. These may interfere with the natural inflammatory process that’s critical for your skin rejuvenation.
Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks. After 24 hours, always use sunblock (30 SPF or higher) and wear a hat if you’re outside.
Before + Aftercare Instructions
Before Your Teeth Whitening Session
TOOTH SENSITIVITY: Although uncommon, some customers can experience tooth sensitivity during the first 24 hours after the whitening treatment. People with existing sensitivity, recently cracked teeth, micro-cracks, open cavities, leaking fillings, exposed roots, or other dental conditions that cause sensitivity may find that those conditions increase or prolong tooth sensitivity after the treatment. It is best to use Sensodyne toothpaste 1 week before and 1 week after your treatment.
After Your Teeth Whitening Session
Avoid anything acid-based, including soda, pickles, and citrus fruits like oranges and lemons. Also, steer clear of foods that easily create stains:
Coffee, Red, and white, Fruit, Fruit juices, Beer, Teas, Soy sauce, Cured meats, Chocolate, and Curry powder. During this stage, your teeth are vulnerable to staining and decay. Consuming these items not only negates the effects of the whitening procedure but could also set your teeth up for long-term damage.
Also, think about other things you put in your mouth that could cause stains. Along with certain food choices, avoid using colored toothpaste, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes. What can you eat during the first 24 hours? Ideally, anything that’s white or light in color and non-acidic is less likely to stain. Be sure to have a sufficient supply of:
Milk, Pasta, Rice, cauliflower, Eggs, Fish, Skinless chicken breasts, Potatoes, Tofu, Yogurt, Bread, Oatmeal, and Cottage cheese.
Before Your Spray Tanning Session:
Shower, shave, and exfoliate* your skin at least 3 hours before your appointment.
Waxing should be done 24-48 hours before your appointment.
It’s important to give the amino acids and the pores the time required to rebuild themselves before applying the tanning solution.
Hydrate the skin the days before the session, but not on the day of the appointment.
Do not use lotions, hair removal creams, oil-based exfoliation products, gels, or shaving creams. These can leave residue on your skin and block the development of the solution.
Do not wear any makeup, perfume, cream, sunscreen, or deodorant. EVEN if these were applied earlier in the day.
Nail polish is recommended. A layer of barrier cream will be applied on the nails to be sure they're protected from the solution.
You may wear undergarments or a bathing suit for the session.
Be sure to have dark-colored, loose-fitting clothes on hand that you can change
into after your session.
Exfoliation is essential to ensure that spray tan results are optimal. You should
exfoliate your skin 2 to 4 times before your session.
Using a simple exfoliating soap will not suffice.
We strongly recommend using a NUDA exfoliating glove along with a good scrub.
Exfoliating will remove dead skin cells from your skin. If your skin has not been exfoliated properly, your spray tan may be uneven, and results may fade away prematurely and/or with spots.
NUDA products have been designed to fade away gradually and evenly when skin is free from dead skin cells. Otherwise, dead skin cells can leave and create white spots on your spray tan.
After Your Spray Tanning Session:
Do not wear a bra, socks, or tight-fitting clothes immediately after the session to ensure that the solution dries evenly.
Do not put back the straps of your bra or your bikini directly after the session. Be careful with the seat belt or the shoulder strap of your bag.
Wait 8 to 12 hours before showering. This is the development period of NUDA products. To get the full intensity of your result, wait for a minimum of 12
hours before showering.
Avoid activities causing sweating or contact with liquids during the development period. If it’s raining or snowing outside, bring long and covering clothes.
Do not wear makeup, cream, or perfume on your skin during the development period.
If you touch your skin by accident during the development period, wash the interior of your fingers and/or hand with a wet and soapy towel.
Avoid the exterior of the hand!
If you are going to bed with your spray tan, wear long and loose-fitting clothes.
You can cover your hands to avoid dark stains to occur in the interior of your
hands during your sleep.
Rinse your face and your body properly during your first shower to avoid the
bronzer (temporary layer) flowing on your skin after your shower.
Do not exfoliate the skin while your spray tan result is still visible. Start exfoliating your skin again only when you noticed that the tan is fading.
Do not wax any regions where the spray tan solution has been applied. Soft shaving can be done occasionally.
Use a gentle face cleanser. Avoid oil-based cleansers, cleansing brushes, and
exfoliants.
Hydrate skin every day using an appropriate hydrating cream*.
Excessive sweating (while sleeping, or doing physical activities), jacuzzis, saunas, and long baths may cause results to fade away prematurely.
The minerals and petroleum oils found in most creams may affect your
spray tan and using such creams may cause your results to fade away prematurely.
Before Your Facial Treatment:
Isotretinoin, also known as Accutane, causes the skin to thin and become fragile over time so it’s important to avoid all skin treatments to be safe and wait after 1 year of use to resume any medical aesthetic treatments.
Book your facial appointment 2 weeks after the day of your Botox appointment. Each Facial treatment includes a facial massage and massaging skin increases the risk of moving the injectable around the strong area.
Must wait at least 2-4 weeks after any fillers to book any facial appointment to allow the product to settle and avoid the risk of moving filler around the face.
Book your facial appointment 48 hours after your eyelash appointment. Eyelash extensions after care require 48 hours of keeping your lashes dry and all facial services include steaming of the face and can affect your lash extension retention.
Ingredients like Retinol or chemical peels like glycolic, salicylic acid, and dermabrasions, must be 2 weeks prior to any facial service as these products and treatments exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin and make skin sensitive and fresh. Most facial reactions result in issues from over-exfoliation.
AVOID FACE WAXING BEFORE YOUR FACIAL
Face waxing causes your skin to become sensitive and could irritate your skin during a facial.
Come to your appointment makeup free and ready to relax!
After Your Facial Treatment:
Do not pick at your face as your hands may have bacteria that can easily transfer onto your face.
Do not try to pop other comedones (pimples or blackheads) as you increase the chance of spreading bacteria underneath the skin if you attempt to extract them incorrectly.
Do not work out for 24 hours, excessive heat and sweat can irritate your fresh exfoliated skin.
Do not apply makeup on your freshly exfoliated face, ideally, wait overnight or at least 8 hours, to fully benefit from the products applied during your facial and to prevent blocked pores.
Avoid saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, or any other environment with hot steam for at least 2-3 days after the facial. This can lead to sensitivity, inflammation, redness, and broken capillaries.
Avoid other spa exfoliation treatments such as; chemical peels (glycolic acids, salicylic acids) or at-home treatments like; retinol and exfoliation products for one week, as your skin may still be sensitive and over-exfoliation may lead to irritation and breakouts.
Avoid the Sun/tanning for at least a week. Your skin will be more sensitive and vulnerable to the sun’s harmful rays. But still, wear an SPF of 30 every day. (Mineral based with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.)
May resume prescription retinoid products 7 days after treatment.
